Working Student (m/f/d) – Software & Engineering
Start: As soon as possible
Working hours: Up to 20 hours/week
Location: Katernberger Str. 107 | 45327 Essen, Germany
Your Responsibilities
Support in the selection, installation, and integration of technical sensors and control devices – on both hardware and software side
Development of small software tools (e.g. scripts or control logic) to connect our prototypes with internal software systems
Contribution to the development of mechanical components – for example, moving units for camera positioning
Close collaboration with our engineering, software, and plant science teams to ensure smooth integration of data flows and systems
Your Profile
You are currently enrolled as a student in a STEM-related field (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics)
You’ve gained initial experience through university, side projects, hands-on work, or personal hobbies
You have basic programming skills (e.g. Python, Java, Node.js, Node-RED, PlatformIO or similar)
You enjoy working independently and in a team – you take initiative, but you’re not afraid to ask when something’s unclear
