Working Student (m/f/d) – Software & Engineering

Start: As soon as possible
Working hours: Up to 20 hours/week
Location: Katernberger Str. 107 | 45327 Essen, Germany

Your Responsibilities

• Support in the selection, installation, and integration of technical sensors and control devices – on both hardware and software side

• Development of small software tools (e.g. scripts or control logic) to connect our prototypes with internal software systems

• Contribution to the development of mechanical components – for example, moving units for camera positioning

• Close collaboration with our engineering, software, and plant science teams to ensure smooth integration of data flows and systems

  
  

Your Profile

• You are currently enrolled as a student in a STEM-related field (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics)

• You’ve gained initial experience through university, side projects, hands-on work, or personal hobbies

• You have basic programming skills (e.g. Python, Java, Node.js, Node-RED, PlatformIO or similar)

• You enjoy working independently and in a team – you take initiative, but you’re not afraid to ask when something’s unclear
