In its latest article Germany’s largest regional newspaper, the WAZ, sheds light on vGreens’ company history from a grassroot startup to building its first industrial module for the data-driven indoor production of strawberries and expanding to Singapore.

Emphasizing the benefits of a year-round, resource-efficient production through Vertical Farming the article highlights the excellent environment at the startup center Triple Z here in Essen, Germany, which enabled us to perfect our technology.

vGreens’ smallest scalable farm module can produce up to 1,000 kg of delicious strawberries per year – and now our AI- and data-driven system is ready for series production. In other words: We are collaborating with partners around the world to build the first vertical strawberry factories that can deliver tons of fruit per year all while addressing pressing issues such as the decline of suitable farmland and climate change.
